Whether it’s a wedding, anniversary, or baby shower, there’s always a reason to throw a party. Another great reason to celebrate is to show appreciation for your employees’ hard work. This feeling of gratitude was the motive for last night’s party which was complete with stationary hors d’oeuvres, salads, desserts, and a full bar.
Before setting out the food, we covered the table with red and white picnic check linen and decorated with a wagon wheel and straw hat to give the surface a rustic look. A colorful Tuscan potato salad was offered with roasted red potatoes, green peas, roasted red peppers, and shards of asiago cheese and tossed in basil-scallion oil; definitely not your typical potato salad. The baby spinach salad was even more vibrant with its dark green leaves, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and feta cheese. This elegant salad was served with white balsamic vinaigrette that brought out the flavors of the berries magnificently.
We offered a grilled summer chicken crusted in herbs and served with tomato basil salsa. The salsa can be eaten on the side or even placed on top of the meat for a truly flavorsome experience. Our boiled lobster tails came from the cold waters of Maine and were served with drawn butter. We garnished this tray with lemon wedges which accented the orange lobsters and added a citrus taste when squeezed onto the seafood. The protein-enriched beef tenderloins were grilled on site to give the freshest product. Guests had the choice of chili salsa or avocado salsa with fresh squeezed lime juice, red onion, and diced tomato on the side.
This type of food set-up is great because it allows your guests to serve themselves while keeping the conversation flowing. Overall, this relaxed event was a sensation and everyone had a great time!
